We have a glimmer of hope for next
year.
I have just received the most recent "Intermountain
West Clinate Summary". It looks like good news. I Quote:
"HYDROLOGICAL CONDITIONS - Drought is expected to
persist over southern Utah, but drought conditions may improve over Wyoming and
northern Utah due to the expected development and persistence of La
Nina."
This forecast matches NOAA's recent prediction for
La Nina and the Intermountain West.
Both forecasts tend to indicate that the areas of
water source for the Great Salt Lake may see some improvement in October and
this winter.
We have another powerful storm, in a chain of
storms, heading for us this Friday.
Lets Hope.
