Slip Renters, Starting June 1st, as stated in a previous email, the gate staff will be enforcing the slip renter parking pass. Please make sure you have your parking passes with you or the gate staff has been told to charge a non-refundable $5.00 day use fee. If you have a parking pass from two years ago, they are still good. If you are a current slip renter but haven't received your pass yet, please come see me ASAP. The gate staff has a hard job to do. This time of year it gets very busy with line-ups to get into the park. They don't know who slip renters are and who aren't slip renters. Also, if you have a dock key from two years ago, it still works. The winter was very brutal on the docks but we have been rapidly working to get them open. C, D, and E are open. I and J dock are very close to opening too. B and K dock are probably not going to open for another month or two. They were the worst hit during the storms, strong winds and grounding in the mud. The lake is still coming up fast. I expect possibly another foot of water with the lake topping off sometime in early July and then only dropping 1 to 1.3 feet this summer and fall from evaporation. The noon day to 5pm sailing has been fantastic, so come out and enjoy the lake. The mouth of the marina is about 5 feet deep now. But don't forget about negative storm surge. Also, don't forget about the reef. Even though it is under the water it is still very much still there and is just barely below the surface. A few boats have already found the hard way that the reef is still there. Enjoy the lake! I didn't think we were going to be able to this year. Dave
