GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users.

Once again we are experiencing satellite problems and cannot get the weather forecast updated.  We are working on a permanent solution to this and hope to have this problem fixed within 10 days.

Storm Warning for today.  Chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.  Winds will be gusty near these storms with heavy chop to moderate seas.  Otherwise the wind will be light west to northwest with mild seas to light chop.

Rocky Mountain PowerOUTATE is once again providing us with a power outage (their expertise in this area) tomorrow between 8am and 3pm.  If I were you I would bet on a longer outage with complications.  If you live on your boat or count on power for your boat, please plan accordingly.

Vessel registrations are due.  The rangers have informed me that they will be doing a dock walk within the next few weeks checking for compliance and issuing citations.  Please do not email me or call me about your stickers.  I cannot do anything about it.  Sailfest is coming up this week.  It is a perfect time to visit your boat and get your stickers up-to-date and to code.

We will be making some slips available very soon.  These are slips being occupied by vessesl who do not have their 2009 contracts in.  If you are one of the few without your 2009 contract in, your slip will be forfeited in the next two weeks.  These vessels will be relocated to 'L' dock and the slips will be released to the waiting list.  Again, do not call or email me.  I cannot do anything about it.  If you need to call or email me to confirm that we received your contract, that is fine.  I cannot extend the deadline though.

Sailfest is coming up.  This promisis to be a great event with a multitude of functions and entertainment.  If you plan to attend, we will need your cooperation.  Parking is always a challenge during SAILFEST.  We request you utilize a designated parking stall (and only one stall).   If you have a boat trailer with you, please unhook it and park it in the day trailer parking area (on the gravel next to Rescue One).  If you have a small camper that can fit in a regular stall, you are welcome to utilize that space.  Do not block more than one stall.  If you have a larger motorhome that cannot fit in one stall, it must be parked in the day trailer area (again, next to Rescue One).  If you will be running a generator for your camping unit, you  must park in the day trailer parking area (again, next to Rescue One).  Please, Please, Please, do not block more than one parking area.  Do not block the main driving area.  Do not park in any area not specifically designated as parking.  And we will have a lot of kids running around.  Please keep a close watch for kids running in the parking area.  Every year we see traffic blockages.  We want to avoid them this year.

Unified Fire will be out here next Wednesday, June 17th to practice some drills fighting a marina fire.  This will create challenges to parking in the north parking area.  We do not anticipate closing this area and you should have access to your boats.  Just be aware of this activity.

Our restrooms were damaged a few years back during the 214mph winds.  We are finally scheduled to have these repaired.  This will begin on Monday, June 15.  The parking next to the marina office will be closed for construction equipment.  The restrooms should remain open during this time but, if they need to be closed for some reason we will notify you and try to make other accomodations.  Showers may be closed at times during these repairs.

Thank you,
