Every year, anywhere between mid-April and late-May the lake starts to drop.  It usually drops, on average, about 2 feet.  This is on average.  The lake can drop as much as 2.8 feet during summer evaporation.

Well, we have clearly started to drop.  We have already dropped 0.3 feet this year.  And it is going to continue from this point on.  And the snowpack is dismal.  I know some have been hoping for the spring runoff.  Well here is the hard statistic.  Our snowpack is only 35% of normal for this time of year.  HORRIBLE!  Many of the mountain reservoirs that are usually still filling up are already dropping.

The mouth of the marina is still about 4 feet of depth.  Get out and sail while you can.  But the season is going to be VERY short and the need to pull ALL the boats very soon is VERY REAL.  Please, for those that have not made arrangements to pull your boats, take this information very seriously and plan accordingly.  Many can still pull their boats at the launch ramp.  Even that will be too shallow soon.  If you have a swing keel boat and can still pull at the launch ramp I would plan to do so no later than mid to late June.

I am so sorry to be the bearer of such bad news.  But this is just the reality we are in.
