I have been forced to move Crane Day from this Thursday to Thursday, July 22nd.
Crane Days are a community effort and not run by the State of Utah. My time for these crane days is all volunteer time as I am also a member of the great boating community. In order for the community to have a safe and effective crane
day it requires a LOT of volunteers. In the past, the owners were all responsible for getting their boats ready, working on their trailers, towing their own trailers, and motoring their own boats over to the crane-out slip.
This Thursday, we have far too many boat owners that want to have their boats pulled but state they can’t be here. That leaves too few other boat owners volunteering to make it a safe crane day. If you own a boat and need to have it pulled
on crane day please do all you can to be here to pull your boat and help other boat owners do the same.
This will be my last crane day. After this, I am hanging up my crane day hat. It takes so much time to pull off these larger crane days and I just don’t have the time to do it anymore. And my boats are all out of the water now.
So if you are not planning on pulling this crane day please let me know and I can give you some suggestions on how to organize your own crane day and the phone numbers of crane companies. But you will also need to act fast. Time to get
boats out is running out very fast.
If you are still planning on pulling out on the July 22nd date please RSVP to this email.
Thanks
Dave
