This has been a tough decision, knowing how it affects everyone. But, after consulting with the National Weather Service today, I feel it is the safest decision to postpone crane day. There will NOT be a crane day tomorrow or Friday. The NWS synopsis is iffy saying the weather will be nice tomorrow but could be windy depending on where this storm decides to pass over Utah tomorrow. And Friday's forecast for crane day is still showing significant wind. Goal number one for crane day is to have everyone pull their boats SAFELY. Based on current water levels, we can afford to postpone crane day for a week or two. The disadvantage is that it puts more pressure to get the remaining boats out of the marina in a shorter time span. I do understand how this decision affects everyone, with work schedules and your normal lives. I will work on an alternative date. One option is to do it next Thursday and Friday but I don't know if that is going to work for many considering Memorial Day weekend. The other option is to hold it in roughly two weeks. I am open to feedback. Dave
