A lot is moving now on the dredging front.  The fences are up in the north parking lot in order to keep people out of the construction zone.

The launch ramp is now closed until November 30th although it may well open up before that depending on when dredging winds up.

They are still working on fencing along the docks so slip renters will have access to their boats (IMPORTANT NOTE FOLLOWS).  In order to get to E, D, and C dock you will need to enter the fenced-in walkway over by the restroom building or near E dock.  There will be a narrow path along the parking lot to get to the docks.  Keep out of the fenced in area though.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  There will be NO access to D and C dock most of Wednesday until later in the afternoon.  This is the day they will be bringing in a very large crane to drop the barge into the lake by crane.

As stated before, the launch ramp is now closed.  They will begin dredging the launch ramp area late next week and move out to the mouth the week afterwards.

If you want to go sailing during the dredging operations it is HIGHLY recommended that you have a marine band radio and monitor channel 16.  Please hail the barge on 16 when you want to go out or return to the marina.  But, in order to minimize dredging operations, please try to leave the mouth of the marina or return to the mouth of the marina on the top of the hour.

Dredging is slated to last through November 30th but the dredging company is hoping to be done much earlier than that.  They hope to be done by the end of September but it all depends on what snags they run into.

Parking is VERY tight.  You may find challenges finding a parking spot on weekends unless you are willing to park in the south parking lot.
