I’ve had some people ask me why the SR 202 bridge over Interstate 80 is closed. This is the bridge on SR 202 that goes from SR201 to the marina frontage road. It looks like the bridge has been closed to do some scheduled maintenance work.
With Crane Day coming this Thursday you may want to look for alternates and plan a little extra time getting to the marina that morning. Here are my recommendations:
If you are coming from the Salt Lake Valley take interstate 80 the whole way. Exit 104 (The Saltair/GSL exit) is open with no traffic restrictions. Do not take SR 201 to SR 202 as this will put you on Interstate 80 heading eastbound to
the 7200 exit where you can turn back around.
If coming from the Tooele Valley stay on Interstate 80 rather than taking exit 104. Head to the 7200 west exit where you can get back on Interstate 80 heading westbound to exit 104.
When leaving the marina, if heading to Tooele Valley, you will be able to get right on the freeway as normal. If you are heading to the Salt Lake Valley you will want to stay on the frontage road paralleling Interstate 80 to the 7200 onramp
where you can get back on Interstate 80.
