Family, Friends, Wind, and God: A few come in gusts and blow us over. Some linger with invitations to reach for their mystery. Others unfurl our hearts like spinnakers inviting us on gentle and beautiful rides downwind. Those that stay close and true will beat upwind with us towards a distant horizon...in search of our source. Some are artists who paint the wind with smiles - then fill it with tears, scraping our face with pain. A few try to suck it out of us. One might come blown like a feather whispering it - knocking us over with truth and wisdom. But at times we just have to get out of it. Then there is God, who fills our lungs - granting us breath moment to moment, propelling our turbulent, yet perfect sojourn through all the storms... where in those purest moments of stillness He speaks to us as a Friend. windpoet RIP Bry Pratt. This is a big loss for the community. Bryant was a true gentleman, very good sailor, and an all around good guy. On 7/31/2023 2:19 PM, Dave Shearer wrote:
Sad news today. Long time member of the Great Salt Lake community, Bry Pratt, lost his battle with cancer this morning. Bry was involved in the Great Salt Lake Yacht Club and the short lived Utah Lake Yacht Club. He owned boats named Naragansett. He leaves behind his wife, Marta, and son Chris.
