The weather has turned sunny.  The lake is rising.  It must be time for a new boating season on America’s inland sea – the Great Salt Lake!

Just a few short weeks away is OPENING DAY!  Whether you sail, sea kayak, scull or row, the season is upon us.

And I’m not talking about “no-see-um” season.  It is time to get on the water and enjoy our unique body of water.

Join us for OPENING DAY on Saturday, May 3^rd for the Boat Parade (sculling-rowing shells, kayaks, sailboats, etc), blessing of the fleet and opening day of the 2025 boating season!

We will have a skippers meeting at 10:30am followed by a Blessing of the Fleet by  Leroy Carter.  Then it will be on the water for the boat parade.

I hope to have a food truck available for the day.  If not, we will have a pot-luck lunch.  More details to follow.
