The weather is finally turning to the nicer side. Time to come out and enjoy the lake. Below is a list of upcoming events.
Friday: RC Sailboat Racing at 6pm on L dock (forecast is for partly cloudy and 68 degrees)

Saturday, May 4th: GSLYC hosts OPENING DAY
This year’s theme is based around the Kentucky Derby (which is being held the same day)
FRIDAY, MAY 3rd: Potluck dinner at 5:30pm. Please bring something to share. Boat decorating afterwards. There will be an award for the most boats decorated on a dock
SATURDAY, May 4th: Breakfast at 9am
Judging of the docks and awards presentation at 10am
Blessing of the Fleet at noon
Lawn games throughout the afternoon
Dinner at 6pm. Please bring something to share. The club will provide the main course and some sides.
The Club will also be having a Fascinator contest for men and women. Fascinators are the ornate and crazy hats worn each year at the derby. Please wear these and we will award a prize after dinner
