GSL/Antelope Slip Renters and Marina Users,
Looking for a reason to visit the Great Salt Lake this Sunday?
Why not come spend a lazy afternoon/evening on board your boat and viewing the Solar Eclipse.
Great Salt Lake will experience a near total solar eclipse this Sunday between 6:19pm and 8:32pm with the maximum eclipse at 7:29pm
DO NOT LOOK INTO THE SUN. IT CAN CAUSE PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE IMMEDIATELY. But an eclipse can still be viewed by using two pieces of cardboard. Put a pin hole prick in the first piece of cardboard. Then hold that cardboard up between the sun and the second cardboard. View the eclipse by looking at the cardboard without the pin hole prick. The sun shining through the first cardboard with the pin hole prick will shine the eclipse onto the second cardboard piece.
And, even though the sun is high in the sky, daylight will become darker than usual.
