We have been walking around and checking on boats lately.  Regardless of whether your boat is still in the water or on the hard (in the parking lot) we highly recommend you regularly check on your boats.  We have noticed some boats in the parking lot and in the water that have clogged scupper (cockpit) drains and cockpits are filling with water.  If your boat is still in the water this can lead to a sinking boat.  If it is in the parking lot, it can lead to water pouring into the cabin and damaging the boat.

Also, there is a white Ranger 23 in the parking lot (not Getaway) that has the forward hatch blown open and has rain water inside the boat.

There are a couple boats in the water on J dock that have blown in or lost companionway hatches.  These boats are now subject to water damage and possibly sinking if left unfixed.

If you have hoses on the dock, can you please remove them now.  We want to have a safe environment for the crew that comes in and removes snow from the docks during the winter.

Thanks
Dave
