NOAA has issued a frost warning for tonight. Temperatures could approach freezing. I do not think that this will affect the boats at the marina though. If you have water tanks in your boats with water, they should be ok. the lake temperatures are still warm and should keep interior temperatures in the boat well above freezing.

But, this NOAA advisory is a good reminder that it is time to think of these matters. We will be shutting off the water to the docks in the near future. We will also be winterizing the pump-a-head and porta-potty rinse stations in the near future. Dates for these two items will be announced soon but expect mid to late October.

Last year we had a boat sink in the marina. This was from a thru-hull issue. Time to think about these issues and winterizing is upon us.
