Crane Day is fast approaching! I don't know of any other crane days this year unless someone else feels like going through the massive headache of putting one on. The Matt Larson Memorial Crane day is Tuesday, June 6. I have several boats on the list. It is going to be quite the undertaking so please make sure you are completely prepared. I still haven't received the following documents from some people. We need ALL the documents (except the optional Autopay form) BEFORE you can launch on Crane Day. * Boat Slip Lease * Copy of CURRENT boat registration * Copy of proof of insurance * Optional Autopay form All balances need to be current too. A few other items to be prepared for (more to come): * You MUST be here or you must have someone here in your place. Also make sure you have plenty of help * Your motor MUST work or plan on sculling or paddling to your designated slip. * Plan on taking Stands, trailers or cradles home. We will not be storing stands at the marina. If cradles are left behind, storage fees will apply. * Boats must be currently registered with stickers properly displayed. * Make sure you have good dock lines. Dock lines age quickly out here. * If you want a dock box, they must be approved in advance. The black dock boxes are the approved ones. They must be fastened with stainless lag bolts with stainless washers. They cannot overhang the main dockway more than 5' * Many of you left dock boxes behind. Most of them rotted away or blew into the lake over the winter. It is very unlikely they are still on the dock. * Hoses must be of the approved type. NO HOSES WITH ALUMINUM CONNECTIONS!! These seize to the faucets very quickly and cannot be removed afterwards. They must have brass or stainless fittings. * Please do not raise your mast before craning it. It makes it more challenging to put it in with the crane. There will also be some sort of Celebration of Life for Matt Larson just after crane day. We are working on putting that together so more details will come later. Thanks Dave
