Well it looks like the road repairs may really begin!

The company doing the work is slated to start mobilizing next Monday and will continue work for the next few months to repair all the areas designated by FEMA for repairs.

The rough plans right now are to start tearing out one lane of road leaving only one lane open for sections of the road.  To control traffic flow a traffic light will be installed at each end of the construction zone.

So expect some delays in accessing the park. 

I will keep you posted as we get more information.

ON ANOTHER NOTE – the lake has now come up nearly 2 feet since our historic low last year.  And runoff hasn’t really started yet.  We could see another two to three feet with all this snowpack.  If we see that happen we may let shallow draft boats back in this year.
