Wow!  What a year!  Our snowpack for the Great Salt Lake Drainage is now 201% with the all-important Bear River drainage being 184%

We have already come up 3 feet with another 3 feet very possible.  It is likely we will see the lake rise through all of June and into early July.  If this happens, we will only see the lake probably drop one foot by the end of Fall.  This is all very good news.  I never though we would be putting boats back in the marina this year.

I know everyone is eager to launch their boats but there is some work we need to finish before this happens.  This winter was windy and brutal on the marina.  We need to make sure all the navigation buoys are back in their proper place.  That is being done now.  And we need to continue to inspect docks before they can be rented and occupied.  That is going to take a bit of time but we are trying to complete that work as soon as possible.

There are also some things each boat owner must ensure before launching and renting a slip.

Obviously make sure your boat is seaworthy and in good condition.  Make sure you have good or new dock lines.  Bow lines, stern lines, and a minimum of two spring lines are highly recommended.

Besides that, there are some very IMPORTANT POINTS before you can launch and occupy a slip.
