Well, so far, it is a mixed bag for the Water Year that started October 1st.

 

October saw 125% direct precipitation into the lake

November saw 124% direct precipitation

 

But our snowpack is suffering.  We are at 52% snowpack today.  Not a big deal yet.  It is the December-March snowpack that really matters.  So we have plenty of time to catch up.

 

National Weather Service states that we have an equal chance of being dryer-than-normal or wetter-than-normal but they are leaning on the Great Salt Lake Drainage area of being wetter-than-normal.

 

The lake bottomed out early this year.  We stopped dropping in September.  And the lake has already started rising gaining 2/10ths of a foot so far.

 

It is still very early but there are some positive signs for lake level in 2024.
