GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users

We are quickly approaching that time of year where we will be shutting down the water system to most of the marinafor the winter. It is necessary to shut off the water to parts of the marina to keep from freezing lines and doing damage to the water system. This damage, when it occurs, can be very expensive and time consuming to repair. The effected areas are:

1. Water to all the docks

2. The porta-potty rinse station

3. The Pump-A-Head.

The scheduled date is Monday, October 22nd (three weeks from today). We may extend this date if weather permits but I would plan on doing your last pump-out and boat wash as soon as possible.

NOTE: THIS DATE MAY BE EFFECTED IF WE HAVE A FREEZE LIKE LAST SATURDAY. We would then be forced to turn the water off earlier than expected. This is why I would utilize the water as soon as possible. If there is a need to turn the water off before that time we will try to keep you posted.

Water will remain on for the whole winter in the following areas:

1. The freezelss faucet at the Ranger Dock

2. The freezeless faucets in the parking lot and the rinse stations.

3. The restrooms and the Yacht Club Rooms
