Just wanted to give everyone an update.  WE ONLY HAVE 4 DAYS LEFT.  As most of you know the Executive Appropriations Committee met again on Friday.  Dennis Gwythers lobbied all morning long, letting the Legislators know we were there and watching.  I emails reporters all morning long.

I need everyone to understand we have the DEMOCRATS on our side.  The Democrats proposed a budget that included 1.5 million to dredge the Great Salt Lake.

The REPUBLICANS shot down the budget – but that does not mean that our issue is dead.  What they shot down, was the entire budget the Democrats proposed , not necessarily the line item of the GSL Dredging.

Fox News took our group out of the meeting and went to the lake to do the story that was run at 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm (the interview at 9:00 pm is the link below)

I would appreciate it, if each of you wrote to the Democrats on the Executive Appropriations Committee and told them thank you, we so deeply appreciate the battle they have been fighting for us. 

But the focus now needs to turn back to the Republicans on the Committee – please do not let up the pressure.  And I would say at this point you need to resume contacting Fred Hayes as well.
