GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users We are updating www.gslmarina.com and adding some features. The newest feature is specific to the Great Salt Lake Yacht Club. We now have a page that will list current events or announcements. This page is under development but you can access all the RACE RESULTS for this year. Just go to www.gslmarina.com go to the Potpouri Page on the main menu and then click on Great Salt Lake Yacht Club - Race Results You may then select any race you want to view. We will try to keep this updated and have results listed the day after the race. If any other club would like to include events or information about their clubs please let me know and I will include it. If you have any other suggestions as to what you would like to see at www.gslmarina.com please let me know. There is updated Marina News on the News tab. I will be phasing out the gslharbormaster@hughes.net address by fall. Please begin using the harbormaster@gslmarina.com to contact the harbormaster. This is a cost cutting factor for me. The restrooms are almost done. Only a bit of touch-up work. But, THE RESTROOMS AND SHOWERS ARE NOW OPEN. Feel free to use them again. Thank you for your patience. The gates at the top of 'I' dock and 'J' dock have now been relocated to the top of the ramp and the angle of the gate has changed so they no longer slam shut on you. This was a safety feature. BUT we ask that you are diligent in closing and locking the gates behind you. People on these docks pay for and expect security. We need your help to keep the docks secure. "K" dock, plese help out too! You are the worst violators. Big rain storm at the marina this afternoon. We received all of July's expected moisture in just an hour this afternoon. Add this to June's 360% and we are having one hellacious monsoonal weather pattern. The lake seems to still be coming up, if ever so slightly. This is unheard of. We never see the lake stable or even coming up in July. By now we have usually been dropping for three to six weeks. This is a great sign and eliminates several evaporation days from the evaporation season. It means our chance of "Net Gain" year are strong.
