For those of you that have been out here recently you’ve realized that some of our facilities are not functioning and the weather forecast updates at
www.glsmarina.com has not been updated. On Thursday we experienced a brownout in the park. The brownout was caused by Rocky Mountain Power cable fault. This cable is 16 feet underground once the fault was found it was
decided that RMP would bore dig and replace the cables to all three phases of power as it was felt the other two phases were not too far before failure
The brownout caused us to shut down the main restroom building to protect the sewer pumps. They will blow up if they don’t have consistent power. We also have limited power at the marina office. There is power to the entry station, VC, and docks
on the north basin. There is no power in the south basin docks.
Early Saturday morning brought a strong wind storm through the Tooele Valley knocking out several power poles that supply power to the marina. The power was not restored till later in the evening
Unfortunately the power has knocked out our internet which allows all our systems and buildings to communicate
We can’t update web pages because of this and email is limited.
We hope to have power restored tomorrow and we can then restore sewer pumps and internet. We hope to be fully functional by Wednesday
