Breakfast

Free Breakfast hosted by:

GSL Yacht Club, GSL Volunteer Emergency Response Team & Utah State Parks

Pancakes and scrambled eggs with diced ham, coffee, juice, and/or milk

Serving Breakfast from 8:30 am to 10:00 am

Meal Ticket sales (Saturday BBQ) 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Merchandise & Raffle Ticket sales 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Meet and Greet

Friends of the Great Salt Lake

Utah Rivers Council

These organizations will have tables set-up from 8:00 am to 10:00 am – please take the time to find out all the amazing things these organizations do to protect the Great Salt Lake

Cardboard Boat Race

Cardboard boats will be launched by the Ranger dock. Spectators will want to gather at the marina pavilion or on “E” dock for the best view of the fun and spectacular sinkings.

Registration 10:00 – 10:30 am

Skippers Meeting and launching 10:45 am

Awards Ceremony 11:30 am

NOTE: you are required to remove all of your cardboard from the lake, and get it to the dumpster – please do not drag it across the grass (salt kills grass)

Children’s Activities

12:00 – 4:00 pm

Located on the lawn. Pirate Ship Water Slide (older kids) and Bounce House and Blow-up Slide (younger kids)

$10.00 all afternoon pass - $5.00 children 3 and under

Kid’s Sail Painting – we will have a sail available for the kids to paint on all afternoon, when it’s done we will put it up on display for the rest of the weekend (we will have some T-shirts to throw on over the kids clothes, but, older clothes you wouldn’t mind paint on would be encouraged – you know that kids can still manage to get paint in the strangest places)

NOTE – Parents must be present when their kids are in the bounce house or the water slides – we will be monitoring the kids, but, please do not leave your kids for us to watch all afternoon :o)

Please arrive as early as possible for dinner, although we try to have an adequate amount of food, there is no guarantee late-comers will have a selection of side dishes available.

Bottled water will be provided. Please bring any other beverages you would like.

We are lucky to have Utah’s own Marmalade Chill playing live just after the evening meal.

Maybe a Bonfire

Enjoy the closing of the evening around a good, old fashioned bonfire, Swap your favorite sailing stories with good friends.

The bonfire will be at the fire pit just south of the marina office

Bonfire begins 10:30 pm

Free Continental Breakfast hosted by Great Salt Lake Yacht Club and Utah State Parks. Muffins, Bagels with cream cheese and yogurt, coffee, juice.

Utah Cup Offshore Race

Offshore PHRF race course will be announced at the skippers meeting. Skippers meeting will be at the marina pavilion.
