GSL Slip Renters,
On Thursday night, the Great Salt Lake Marina received heavy snow. Most of that snow blew away yesterday. What didn’t was plowed, shoveled, or moved in some form.
Well today we are experiencing heavy snow again with no wind. That means it will accumulate. We can’t even come close to keeping up with it with plows or snow blowers. So we will not try until it stops in a couple hours.
It is a mess at the marina right now. I do not recommend venturing out here until after 2pm. After that you may want to consider clearing snow off your boats. But be mindful we will probably still be plowing and snow blowing. Also be mindful that the docks will be the last to be cleared of snow. That may not even occur until Monday.
UPCOMING EVENTS
RC Sailboat Racing tomorrow has been cancelled since we will likely not see temperatures above 15 degrees tomorrow. Who wants to race in that?
Duck Hunt Season ends at sunset on the 19th. That will be a relief to my dog who spends most of her time hiding under my deck from the gunshots.
RC Sailboat Racing on the Sunday, the 20th.
And all sorts of events on Saturday, the 26th: GSLYC Viking Cruise, GSLYC Polar Bear Cup, Harbor Master Clam Chowder Social (1pm)
RC Sailboat Polar Bear Regatta on Sunday the 27th.
