GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users.

I have been watching the weather models for this weekend.  One model is showing some significant wind for Saturday as well as temperatures dropping below freezing as the front passes over the Great Salt Lake.  Have you winterized your boats?  Have you checked your dock lines?  We have one boat in jeopardy of sinking right now because of clogged cockpit scuppers and a cockpit filling with water.  We have tried to contact the owner but have not heard back from him.  We average about one boat a year sunk in the slip.  Usually this is due to a clogged scupper.  Winter is fast approaching.  Time to make sure your boat and dock lines are ready.

Also, there seems to be some confusion about slip contracts.  We sent an email out about a week ago so that slip renters could update their information we have on file.  THIS WAS NOT THE SLIP CONTRACT.  Most of you were able to update your information successfully.  Others have not had information change and have no reason to respond to this email.  And others tried to update the information but were not able to do so.  We do not know what happened here.  I am looking into it.

The slip contracts have NOT BEEN EMAILED yet. They will start going out this weekend by email in batches and should have been sent to all slip renters by early to mid-next week.  Please follow the instructions in the email to send your contracts and credit card autopay forms back in.  If you have any questions on the slip contracts or autopay forms please feel free to email me or call.  And if you would prefer that we send you a contract by USPS rather than email please let me know (email dshearer@gslmarina.com) and I will be happy to send one to you.

Thank you.
