There is a significant amount of storm energy building in the West Desert.  This storm energy is now tracking towards the Great Salt Lake.  The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the whole Great Salt Lake area until 11pm this evening.

We have issued a STORM WARNING for the whole Great Salt Lake area from now until early tomorrow morning.

Strong thunderstorms can cause dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning, strong gusty winds in excess of 70mph, heavy waves, heavy rain or hail.
