Weather Warning

A Storm Warning has been issued for the whole Great Salt Lake area.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected through the day.

Storms are beginning to build over the West Desert and are tracking towards the Great Salt Lake.

These storms may produce strong gusty winds, lighting and brief heavy rain. Gusts near the marina, during these storms, could exceed 50mph.

These storms are caused by a monsoonal pattern that is expected to last for the next few days.

Keep an eye towards the Oquirrh Mountains, Stansbury Island, and Tooele Valley for developing or approaching thunderstorms.
