GSL and Antelope Slip Renters
Two important pieces of news. The first one is that we have had a power
failure with the marina mouth light. This includes the stadium light that
lights up the marina mouth as well as the green entrance light. The red
entrance light still works. We will get the other light repaired as soon as
possible.
Second: It is slip contract time again. REMEMBER! ALL slip contracts and
ALL credit card autopay forms EXPIRE on DECEMBER 31st. NO EXEPTIONS!
In order to continue your slip contract AND your credit card autopay
withdrawals WE NEED THE NEW FORMS. We will be sending these forms out the
first week of November. By email.
We have a new way to make it easier for you and me. You will receive an
automated email today that will have all your current information (no
sensitive or secure information will be included). When you receive the
email check the information we have on file for you. If it is correct
IGNORE THE EMAIL AND DO NOT RESPOND. If the information is NOT correct
please correct the information on the email form and then follow the
instructions on returning the email back to me. My computer will be
automatically updated with the correct information. This may include email
addresses, phone numbers or home addresses. This will aid us in getting the
new contract information out to you.
Again, Only respond back if there is information that needs to be
corrected.
For those that have a substantial PAST DUE balance, we CANNOT renew your
contract until balances have been brought down. If you are not able to
bring your balances down by December 31st your contract will expire and WILL
NOT BE RENEWED. Please plan to have your boats removed from the marina by
December 31st.
Again, you will ALL receive the email requesting updated information. EVEN
IF YOU NO LONGER HAVE A BOAT IN THE MARINA, you may receive this email. It
is because you are still on the email list. IF you do not have a boat in
the marina and do not want to receive emails anymore please let me know. If
you no longer have a boat in the marina but still want to be on the email
list you may ignore the email. Nothing will change.
Once we have the updated information we will send another email out at the
beginning of November on instructions on how to renew your slip contract.
For those that have a substantial balance you will probably not receive the
November email but rather a contract termination letter. If you want a
statement sent to you please let us know and that will be done. If you
think that you have been paying by credit card all the time check your
credit card statements. Some of you that always have autopay in the past
never sent your forms in and you have a substantial balance.
Hope this was all clear as mud or as clear as the Great Salt Lake is during
the winter during the algae plume.
On a good note, the lake is almost done dropping for the year. We will
likely only lose another 2/10ths of a foot. On the bad news, the reef is
now shallow. DO NOT TRY TO CROSS IT. The reef over by Saltair (known as
Bry's Bump, or more properly known as the Goggins Reef) is very shallow
again. Make sure you follow the SALTAIR RULE; do not sail so you can see
the east side (actually the north side) of the Saltair building.
Next event at the Great Salt Lake Marina is the annual Pumpkin Patch Social
on October 27th.
