Hurricane Force Warning has been cancelled Storm Warning has been issued for the Great Salt Lake Marina Area and the Great Salt Lake GSL Marina Users and Slip Renters. We have cancelled the Hurricane Force Warning for the Great Salt Lake Marina Area and the Great Salt Lake. We have issued a Storm Warning for these areas. We experienced a max gust of 61 mph last night. This wind was from the north as part of the rotation storm in Lakepoint. This storm brought strong, steady north winds, a 1.3 foot storm surge and large swells to the beach. We received very little damage to the marina though. We will report on observed storm damage in a separate email today when we are complete with the dock walks. We are expecting strong storms today. Weather Conditions at the Great Salt Lake and Marina area have the potential for dangerous conditions and risk to property. As these storms get closer we may re-issue the Hurricane Force Warning. Raftstock 07

Due to the Sun tunnels trip, Raftstock is being rescheduled for Sunday September 30th. Skippers meeting will be same time all the same activities are planned using Island serenade as the base boat for the raft up approx 2 miles out weather permitting. This is the last cruise scheduled for the year so we hope to have a good turn out. Speaking of good turn outs the White Rock cruise was a great time. We had 8 boats rafted up good food, music & weather.

Storm Damage Rpt #1

GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users The first storm has come and gone. We saw winds from the north (off the lake) flowing into a rotation clowd near Burmester. These winds reached 50mph sustained with top gusts at 60mph. Thank you Dave Shearer GSL Harbormaster We are still tracking several cells coming our way. We have lost power at the marina so I am doing these reports from by boat on a generator. This will keep me somewhat limited on keeping regular updates. We will do our best to bring reports where warrented and capable.

Hurricane Force Warning For the Great Salt Lake Marina and the Great Salt Lake GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users. We have issued a Hurricane Force Warning for the Great Salt Lake Marina and Great Salt Lake. We are currently tracking several large thunderstorms. Some of these have already hit the Great Salt Lake and the Marina. None of the storms have caused damage in the marina yet. The storms we are tracking have the potential of very strong winds, heavy rain, lightning and hail. These storms are potentially dangerous and a risk to property. We could see winds in excess of 70 mph with these storms. Please consider whether your vessels and property at the marina is secured for these winds and storms.
