I was at a local Barnes & Noble here in Denver tonight, and I saw the Nightshade edition of The Swordbearer on the stands. I hadn't realized this was now available, but there it was. It is a handsome book, just like the Dread Empire volumes (and with similar Raymond Swanland cover art). They also had the hardcover of An Empire Unacquainted With Defeat, it has been there for a few weeks, but this was the first (and only) Dread Empire hardcover I have seen in a brick and mortar store. The B&N tonight also had the new 4th printing of Cruel Zinc Melodies. I knew something was different right away, I quickly realized that this latest printing doesn't have embossing or foil on the cover. The Petty Pewter Gods reprint will be out in a few weeks. I guess Glen Cook and Garrett are still selling well, more power to them!
