Re: [Glencook-fans] glencook-fans Digest, Vol 30, Issue 5
Does anyone know how to pronounce Chodo's surname? Does it rhyme with plague or Montague? For no particular reason, I always assumed it sounded like plague. Seajestre

Y'know, I've been hearing it rhyme with 'plague' in my head. But it probably should be more like Montague for two reasons, the whole 'Italian' thing… and only one of those words is an actual name. -- Veteran, Bermuda Triangle Expeditionary Force, 1993-1951
I'd thought Kon-ta-gew to pronounce, myself. I think there was a little throwaway SPOILER in GLB that I might mention in the spoiler thread generally about Chodo. ---- Michael Llaneza <maserati@speakeasy.net> wrote:

I always heard it in my head as Conta-gew," and this thread was the first time I ever considered any alternative. BTW, fwiw, Penny Dreadfuls were a sort of pulp fiction novel in the late 19th Century. I just thought of that because of the connection between Chodo C. and the Penny character.
