It's here ! Gorgeous cover, slim volume. We still need Reap the East Wind and An Ill Fate Marshaling collected. I'm going to end up with a very nice Glen Cook shelf in my library. -- Michael Llaneza maserati@speakeasy.net
Thanks for the report, does Glen mention aything particularly interesting in his introduction or story notes? Also, note that the final Dread Empire Omnibus, with Reap the East Wind and An Ill Fate Marshalling, will also have the third sequel story, Wrath of Kings, that Glen is writing right now. The decision to recreate that lost (stolen) manuscript, based on the success of the first Dread Empire omnibuses, is why an Empire Unacquainted With Defeat was moved up in the production schedule (it was orginally to be the last omnibus, but was made the third when it was decided to include the new book in the sequels omnibus). He's actually doing it? That's wonderful! That's wonderful! Here's hoping that the omnibus editions bring in enough to stretch Cook's pension. Richard
See http://fantasyhotlist.blogspot.com/2009/01/new-glen-cook-interview.html At the end, Glen indicates that he is writing the next (13th) Garrett book, the 4th Instrumentalities book (the 3rd is already written and awaiting publication), the next Black Company volume, and another Dread Empire book.
