It probably IS an ARC, I remember some guy selling his ARC of The Swordbearer about a month before the Nightshade edition came out.

The Many Deaths of the Black Company had been listed for January 4, I guess it got pushed back a few days.

As for The Tyranny of the Night, I've seen that one listed for a little while now. My guess is that the third and fourth Instrumentalities books will be trade paperback originals, rather than hardcover. As such, they are relaunching the series by putting out trade paperbacks of The Tyranny of the Night and Lord of the Silent Kingdom, so that people can get uniform collections of the series, to put on the shelf next to the Black Company trade paperbacks. That's my best guess, at any rate.

BTW, the third and fourth Instrumentalities books do have at least provisional titles, Surrender to the Will of the Night (vol. 3) and Working the Gods' Mischief (vol. 4).

Not even a title for the 3rd (or 4th) Instrumentalities book yet and they''re reprinting the paperback for volume one.

And, because it just LEAPT off the page...

I've emailed the seller, there has to be a story here. Hopefully something better than just an ARC.

[1] A good title for the last omnibus [2]
[2] "Last" because I'll believe in more BC books when I see them.
