FOTD -- November 24, 2009 (Rating 7) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's image was created when I mixed various negative parts of Z^(-1.5) and Z^(-5.6), added (1/C), and raised the escape radius to one-googol, which evaporated the scene. The parent fractal is an irregular thing with several large near- circular bays, some with mandel-buds along their shoreline, some without. Today's scene is located in a tiny dot in an unlikely area on the east side of the parent. The rating of a 7 seems about right, at least in my opinion. The name "Evaporated Wonders" refers to the 'evaporated' nature of the image, in which all the 'outside' stuff has evaporated and the remaining inside stuff has been brought to life by the 'bof61' inside fill. The calculation time of 1-1/2 minutes is a real bargain for an image that rates a 7.
