. Hi Hi Hi Droogs - I'm baaaaacck! It's been a long time and I almost forgot how cool it was to have the computers chugging away rendering thousands of frames lighting up my house and making the neighbors ask what are all those flashing colors all night long in your window.... Many of the FOTD for past months have been good, but a lot of fantastic images end up having rather unimpressive zoom-in sequences; I can only determine this by time and trial. And morph animations can be difficult and time consuming especially when there are many parameters with many decimal points. But the FOTD Dec. 28, 2012: "Into the Aether" zoom-in looks pretty cool so far. It is currently rendering; the images are slow and it may be a week or two before I can upload it. Wait for it. Also, I have been investigating the awesome FOTD Jan. 1, 2013: "New-Year Surprise". When I see an image that is not magnified or zoomed in (like a parent fractal), with ONE parameter defined out to MANY decimal places - I think MORPH ANIMATION HERE! And I have found that slight variations of the REAL p3 parameter result in a brilliant sequence of kaleidoscope images, many of which are far better than the original FOTD. (sorry Jim, you understand <g>). I have determined the best range of values and increments to make the animation, it is currently rendering. They render fast so it will have about 6000 frames and run 3 minutes or so. Expect to upload in a day or two. Wait for it. I am simply gonna name it "2013" as the graphical display of total chaos is a reminder of the real doomsday scenario which awaits us in 2013. Cheers. JoTz .
