start xfractint with the -geometry option, e.g. for 1280 by 960 pixels, `xfractint -geometry 1280x960`. You can also use the -disk option to disable the display window and to use really high resolutions. You can change the image size within xfractint if you use the -disk option with the 'v' key. As for removing the jagginess, you'll have to render a high resolution image and resample it with an image editor like the GIMP. I wish fractint did antialiasing. jpkotta
