FOTD -- May 13, 2007 (Rating 7) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: The parent of today's image came about when I combined negative (1/Z) with Z^(-1.3) and added (1/C) to create a curiously distorted Mandeloid with its main period-2 bud hidden beneath a patch of low-iteration stuff. Today's image is located where a network of filaments vanishes behind another patch of low- iteration stuff. I named the image "Candy Carnival Corns". I never did outgrow my taste for those outrageously sweet triangular orange, white and yellow candies. The rating of a 7 reflects my above-average opinion of the image. The calculation time of 3-1/3 minutes is true om the new P4-2000 machine. The old P200 would have taken around 15 minutes to finish the job.
