FOTD -- March 19, 2013 (Rating 7) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's image shows what I take to be parts of minibrots in an East Valley section of the Hypermandelbrot set. Since the HyperMandelbrot set is four-dimensional, its minibrots must be four-dimensional also, which means it will never be possible to show all of one on a flat two-dimensional screen. The name "Hyper-Minibrot" simply describes the image. The rating of a 7 indicates that I did too little work on the colors. The calculation time of 1-1/4 minutes will pass quickly enough considering that a 2-D slice of an 8-D object is being calculated. But calculation may be avoided entirely by checking the web sites.
