FOTD 18-08-04 (Golden Jubilee [6])
FOTD -- August 18, 2004 (Rating 6) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Due to the continuing rush, today's discussion will be very short. But I have just received the September issue of 'Scientific American' magazine, and a few of the articles already have me waxing philosophic. Look for a major outbreak of not-totally-opinionated philosophy to soon appear on the philofractal list. Today's quickie image takes us very deep into the fractal that results when Z^(-0.99) and Z^(1.11) are combined, and (1/C) is added. In fact, the magnitude of 3x10^13 makes a mathtolerance entry necessary in the parameter file. Hopefully, the edited file will run correctly I named the image "Golden Jubilee" after all the gold in it, and then, being less than overwhelmed, I rated it at a 6. The render time of 8 minutes gives an overall value of 71. A noisy thunder-shower Tuesday evening arrived too late to spoil their day. Today is starting muggy, with more thunder promised.
