Check out this recent hi-res fractal zoom animation by JoTz
JoTz also sent me a link to a recent high resolution fractal zoom animation of his. It's a nice one. Info & link forwarded below. I told JoTz: --------------------------------------------------- I like the hi resolution. This particular fractal (a very nice one) has fine detail in almost every frame of the video, which leads to the continuous scintillation of pixels strobing in and out of existence as tiny fractal features get sampled at slightly different zoom factors. Even Disney's Tron movie has this artifact! Even tho I'm intellectually offended by strobing pixels, you've made them so small that they turn into a gentle shimmering that's not as personally burdensome. At some places in your animation, the scintillating pixels evoke atoms vibrating around their fixed locations, especially at 1/4 speed… ----------------------------------------------------- - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## From: LLOYD GARRICK [mailto:lgarr@colorado-hiking.net] Sent: Monday, December 28, 2015 4:00 PM To: Hal Lane <hallane@earthlink.net>; Albrechtx_Multifract!!! <Multifrac@t-online.de>; Fractint and General Fractals Discussion <fractint@mailman.xmission.com> Subject: Re: [Fractint] Fractint Operating System . . . Thank you, Lloyd Garrick and Hal for publishing this great animation which uses one of the most complex images I ever did.Title 35100-44. It was the MFR13 version of a previous even more complex one. Repeated here and also the initial version 35187-TV. Today I created a new MFR14-2 version which replaces the originally used Spider frm by Magnet which is more complex and symmetrical. If you zoom out there is not just one parent view, there is a row like railway stations, each with a different image and ready to zoom into. The email systems seem to be reformatting parameter lists fairly often on both the [Fractint] server posts and (differently!) in my MS Outlook email InBox. E. g.: See Albrecht's 2015-12-30 post on the server: [Fractint] Gate to the Magnetic World You can get the correct parameter set(s) from where Albrecht adds his latest PAR file to the end of the following file, where it retains its correct formatting: Cubby > MultifracArchive > New > NewPar > NEW.PAR - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## -----Original Message----- From: Fractint [mailto:fractint-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Albrecht Niekamp Sent: Wednesday, December 30, 2015 1:39 PM To: Fractint and General Fractals Discussion <fractint@mailman.xmission.com> Subject: [Fractint] Gate to the Magnetic World Am 30.12.2015 um 03:09 schrieb Hal Lane:

Another wonderful animation! I don't have sound on this particular machine (my main squeeze is in the emergency room :{ ) and am looking forward to adding it for my next viewing. Thanks, Hal for posting the link and, of course, kudos to JoTz (again) Bill Jemison Audio Fractals <https://sites.google.com/site/audiofractals/home> On Tue, Dec 29, 2015 at 7:09 PM, Hal Lane <hallane@earthlink.net> wrote:
