Jomathan, since some time haven´t heard anything from you. Hope you´re well and stilll reading the messages. Need your help urgently: There are sime images that generate correctly and some days later when I copy the frm again they dont. Checked literally every line carefully and there are no changes to the code. When I copy the same file again the image possibly generates correctly - repeatedly! I suspect it´s a problem of the compiler. What can I do to locate the "neuralgic" command ? ; Hal ref. problem with "Round Trip" it concerns other images too for example "The river". Any idea? It cannot be a memory problem as even a later amplification causes no problems at all. Any assistance is gratefully acknowledged. Petta

Does this show up as corrupted images? Are you always using the same computer? Are the same programs running? Does it happen only with certain combinations of variables/functions in your formula? Only specific fractal types? Your PARs have "rseed=-2436" in them. What happens if you remove this? You shouldn't need it because if you were actually using random numbers, the fast parser falls back to using the C code.

I have a developmental version that should eliminate any chance of memory problems, but additional changes I've put in have broken a good number of built-in fractal types. I'll try to straighten things out and get a patch released soon. Jonathan

In "round trip" there is a general corruption -chaotic pixels and more. It happens on both XP systemss: XP computer SYS1 xp-dos XP computer SYS2 xp-dos Other running programs make no difference. If the generation fails it will do that repeatedly or vice versa. ; /Does it happen only with certain combinations of variables/functions in your formula? Only specific fractal types? / ; Yes, in both cases the inside3 frm is Phoenix. I used it as Inside2 but the problem remains, it´s not there and causes other wrong pixels due to that. Get me right: I load an image 10806-22, The River2, and press F9 =1280/1024 so it generates again. Ok. always. Then I copy and paste the same edition of my frm again, dated Dec,06. It does not generate, never! Even if I use the par it does not generate, tried all kind of different settings, passes=1 - nothing helps. ; https://www.dropbox.com/s/q9uqhqmc0ikr6on/88_10806-22.GIF?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/7efw8sl576g4g1o/MFR_13.frm?dl=0 ; The 2nd link is the FRM edition used at the time of first generation which now fails. I have a suspicion: The input in question is the last digit Real(P2), possibly a hidden misreading? ; Thanks for your help and hope you can find the reason. Petta

Jonathan Jonathan, thanks for your help. I found the bug - a line had changed the position after copy and paste. But after the latest update I had a memory error once using the evolver mode, so looking forward to your memory update. Can you state the free space after the cleanup? https://www.dropbox.com/s/g9yeo0qv2ge7zyy/MFR_13.frm?dl=0 Thank you! Petta
