Today's prize-winner fractal is named in honor of that not quite so famous American abstract artist, J. Pollock.
SciAm did an article recently about him and his work. Researchers analysed his paintings and discovered they were highly fractal in nature (containing self-similar detail at multiple levels). They derived a "fractal number" based on the painting details and found that number approaching "more perfect" fractality as Pollock's work evolved. -- |_ CJSonnack <Chris@Sonnack.com> _____________| How's my programming? | |_ http://www.Sonnack.com/ ___________________| Call: 1-800-DEV-NULL | |_____________________________________________|_______________________|
