FOTD 12-04-06 (Going too Far [NO RATING])
FOTD -- April 12, 2006 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: In today's image we stick with the fractal created by the four well-known irrational numbers. To find today's scene I checked deep into the valley separating the two lobes of the northern bud of the parent. I gave the image no rating, but I did give it a name. I named it "Going too Far". The name implies that I feel I went too far in coloring the image. The colors are too plentiful and too brilliant even for my immodest taste. I achieved all the brilliancy by rendering the scene with the outside set to 'tdis' and the inside set to 'bof61'. The render time of 35-1/2 minutes may be rather slow for those whose time is valuable, so for the benefit of these busy ones and also for the benefit of those with handicapped computers, the completed image is available on the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> The springlike weather here at Old Fractal Central on Tuesday was just what the pair of fractal cats needed. They were perfect angels all day. A few less things to do would have been what I needed to make me a perfect angel. The next FOTD will almost certainly appear on schedule in 24 hours. Until then, take care, and bide your time.
