FOTD 11-05-05 (Square Spiral [7])
FOTD -- May 11, 2005 (Rating 7) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today we break out a brand new formula, which draws previously unavailable slices of 4-dimensional Julibrot figures. In today's image I have visited the strange Julia rectangle located near the East Valley of the large midget on the infinitely-divided main stem of the Z^2.003+C Mandeloid. The image is not sliced exactly in the Julia direction, but within a degree or so of it. At this angle, the rectangle is filled with curious square spirals, one of which is proudly displayed in today's fractal, which I have named "Square Spiral". The rating of a 7 refers to the unusual nature of square spirals. At just under 3 minutes, the image is merci- fully fast, but downloading the finished image from the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> could be even faster. Another perfect day graced Fractal Central on Tuesday. The blue sky and temperature of 73F 23C were just what the cats needed to make their day near perfect. Today is starting much the same. The cats will be happy. For me a small pile of work waits to be tackled, but it is nothing that I cannot put behind me in a few hours. The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours. Until then, take care, and if life hands you an artichoke, don't lose heart.
