Re: [Fractint] Lloyd's Animation of Albrecht Niekamp's recent "Mandel Queen" image
Re: Lloyd's Animation of Albrecht Niekamp's recent "Mandel Queen" image It *is* very odd how it breaks up at the end. When it started transitioning from filled areas to the thin lines, I thought, "Oops. Here's loss of significance starting." But, the patchy anomalies went away, and the sharp "line drawings" appeared and were zoomed into. Interesting transition.
Strange - when you back out past around e-5 the image remains the same. Go figure. Heaven only knows, (and Albrecht, too), what torture those iterates went through to make these "multi"-fractal images!
I set the speed at 50% on my VLC video player so the video wouldn't go by so quickly -- and so I could savor the structures as they appeared and enlarged. Single frame stepping in some places let me better understand some of the features that were flying by, too. I also tried enlarging the video to approximately fill my screen. The motion of the images kept the slight blurring of small structures from being too distracting. The larger video area made the experience of flying down the "Time Tunnel" much more real. Nice vivid colors and structures, Albrecht!
