FOTD 05-04-06 (Stuff [NO RATING])
FOTD -- April 05, 2005 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's image shows the disorganized stuff I typically wade through while searching for FOTD's. Actually, this kind of fractal stuff is not all that bad, and if I did not consider a fractal kind of incomplete without a midget at the center, I might make occasional FOTD's of the stuff. In fact, that is exactly what I did in today's image. The four parameters are well-known irrational numbers, which when combined make a rather bland parent fractal. The place I chose to investigate is the point where the negative real axis runs ashore. Midgets might lie hidden in the stuff of today's image, or they might not. I did not bother to find out. But the stuff itself makes a picture just barely good enough to qualify as a FOTD. I named the image "Fractal Stuff". I did not rate it. The render time of 15+ minutes may be avoided by downloading the finished image from the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> There was lots of sun here at Old Fractal Central on Tuesday, and the temperature of 54F 12C was pleasant enough, but the wind was far too high for delicate fractal cats to be out and about. They spent only a few minutes on the porch before they decided to return inside. The usual tuna treat kept them happy enough. I will be far happier when the FC move is completed and business is back to normal, which will enable me to return the FOTD discussion to its expected quality.
