Jim's copper & verdigris green 'Black Gold' color map.
JackOfTradeZ, I like Jim's copper and verdigris-green color map for his 'Black Gold' FOTD for April 21st, 2013, too. I did a few minimal magnification zooms into the parent of Jim's Black Gold image and put them with my large version of his FOTD on my site of FOTD 'variations': http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/TESTS/FOTD/jim_muths_fotd.html You've got a nice-looking image!: http://www.fractal-animation.net/tesla.gif I'm looking forward to your animation... Do you use PAR2BAT for your animations? <---<< - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## =========== Forwarded email ======================== Author: JackOfTradeZ Date: To: fractint Subject: [Fractint] BlackGoldAOTD The zoom-in to the Black Gold image is looking seriously cool, especially with Maestro Muth's new color map, which after trials, looked way better than the original, or my own "gold" map. I see an intricate pattern of copper nano-wires in a molecular chip, with bursts of bluish electricity as the Log2 zoom progresses. That, along with the formula from electronics (parallel resistance, but don't take it too seriously; such formulas, an inverse of summed inverses, occur quite frequently in physics), suggest I should give this animation a "cool" sounding "electric" name. Alternatively, the images also strikingly resemble native copper minerals, with elemental copper dispersed among the blue-green mineral. I expect the animation will be finished in 2 weeks +/- ; but it is always hard to predict! Until then, fetch a preview here: http://www.fractal-animation.net/tesla.gif =========================================================
