After retrieving the old altern.map and a non-FP version of fractint from my ancient archives I was finally able to get these to render. They take a l.o.n.g. time. Interesting images, but they are not quite what I am looking for. Thanx anyway Guy. If NY1 interested I have posted the images on my server: http://www.fractal-animation.net/3d.zip It is 1 MEG file. BTW, I have just paid $129 for the current UltraFractal, I want to check it out see what everyone else is so excited about. It is supposed to be fractint compatible, but it gets half way thru my fractint PAR then chokes. It is also supposed to render in batch mode. I am (was?) hoping to redo some of my animations in 32-bit color. Maybe I try ChaosPro now. JoTz

That's why I pay for broadband! ;-)

I'm sorry, but the more I hear about Ultrafractal and its increasing prices, the less I like it or its developer. Greedy fellow. I've used ChaosPro, quite a nice app, haven't done any animation stuff with it, though. -- David gnome@hawaii.rr.com authenticity, honesty, community
