Fractal fans: It's just after 11am Thursday, March 18 here at Fractal Central and I have just received a call from my sister back at Old Fractal Central. She told me that Thomas, the one remaining original fractal cat who is now 20 years old, is in very bad shape and unlikely to make it through the day. We have been worried about him for several weeks, and if my writing has been a bit sharp lately, it is because of my concern for Thomas. As for the global warming off-topic, John is right. There are simply too many of us on the planet, and we are unwilling to do the only thing that could possibly save us -- reduce our numbers. I think that deep inside we all realize this, yet are unwilling to accept and face it. Advanced technology will not save us. Colonizing other planets is a sci-fi fantasy. It looks like the grand experiment of intelligent life on earth will end up being a failure, and the last living man will ask the surrounding emptiness what it was all about.
