FOTD 18-11-09 (Fractal Firework [4])
FOTD -- November 18, 2009 (4) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's late, 4-rated fractal is an afterthought. I spent all my fractal spare time on Tuesday exploring fractal byways, and no time making a work of pseudofractal-art. So today's FOTD is presented as a scene I passed by in my explor- ations. I have posted it merely to have a FOTD for November 18. The scene lies at the eastern end of its parent, which is beyond verbal description. The image shows a quintic minibrot that appears to be spinning. I named it "Fractal Firework", leaving off the final 's' because it's worth only a single bang. The humble image may be seen by running the included parameter file -- at one minute it's a very fast one -- or by viewing the finished image on the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> But due to the unusual time of this posting, give Paul an hour or two to calculate and post it. Thick clouds obscured the sun all day here at Fractal Central on Tuesday, but no rain fell, and with a temperature of a mild 54F 12C, the day was not all that unpleasant. The fractal cats slept through most of it. My day was uneventful. The next FOTD, almost certainly with a higher rating, will be posted in around 12 hours. Until then, take care, and be fortuitous.
